Volunteer

At Staying Put we provide fantastic volunteer opportunities to be a part of a local domestic abuse and sexual violence charity.

We are looking for committed individuals to help us continue our vital work to support survivors at the point of crisis.

We value volunteers support, dedication and appreciate the contribution they make to our service delivery. We believe our volunteers bring experience, compassion, enthusiasm and commitment to our service provision.

Volunteer contribution makes a huge difference when you offer your services to survivors of abuse. Feedback we have received demonstrates the dedication volunteers have and the passion to make a positive difference to lives. Staying Put have many opportunities for volunteers across our services.

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

  • Support for our One Front Door helpline
  • Support for our community IDVAs/ISVAs
  • Support for refuge staff across all our safe accommodation sites
  • Support for our centrally-based business support team
  • Support for us to deliver outcome focused recovery and resilience groups

We offer our volunteers opportunities to work with staff and service users, training and support, an opportunity for development and career growth and we also cover travel expenses.

We aim to make a difference for our volunteers, enabling you to enhance your people skills and learn new support skills.

Have a look at our volunteer job description to see full volunteer requirements – but above anything else we look for passion and empathy.

If you have any questions about volunteering at Staying Put please email volunteer@stayingput.uk.net

We are committed to quality, equality and diversity. Our recruitment and selection procedures reflect this commitment which applies to both volunteers and paid staff.

Your donations will enable us to help many more survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
